time for a nursery....i could use some help!

i'm starting to get excited now about planning the nursery. however, i could use some of my crafty and clever friends (hint hint) to throw out some ideas!

the room we're going to use is pretty small, but i think will work perfect for the little one. it's approx 9ft x 11ft.
it currently houses our computer desk, my make-shift sewing table and some random boxes.
here are some pics (with the current furniture for some perspective)....

i'm leaning towards greens, browns, yellows and oranges for the basic idea. with a little pink thrown in the mix :)
my mom and i found some little receiving blankets at target for some beginning inspiration!

any thoughts?

It's a girl!!

yesterday we had our "big" ultrasound appointment. we made a game time decision that we just couldn't wait and decided to find out the gender.
it's fun to know now and will certainly help us plan for her arrival in January!
all of the measurements taken had her due date at jan 11, just a few days off from the original projection of jan 7. it will be interesting to see how the baby grows and develops if that date changes yet again--as i'm sure it will. she also weighed in at 9oz. crazy. she was very active during the ultrasound, moving around a lot. it was pretty cool to see.

here's a little 3-D pic of her saying hello to her parents:

valparaiso, in

this is where we spent our weekend two weeks ago--at mike & cassie's wedding!

it was a very fun time. ben was in the wedding party so we were up a day early for the rehearsal. we woke up the next day to some rain, but then the sun came out and it was an absolutely beautiful day for their wedding.
here are a few pics:

ben and i before the wedding. luckily my friend sara saved the day and had a dress that would accommodate my growing belly!

ben tearing it up on the dance floor!

the next morning before we left town, ben, matt, katie and i (and a few others from the wedding) stopped off for a game of miniature golf. it was great fun!

i was completely exhausted when we got back. it took me a full 3 or 4 days to feel recovered. it is amazing how much more tired you get with a little person growing inside of you. adjusting to my new limits are hard when that dance floor is calling your name...........
